Prep School Showcase 2014

There was a girls prep school showcase in Oct. 2014 in Montreal,  but the grade 8/9 girls needed a few extra players to make two full teams.

Lauren and a few of her friends were asked to fill in.   Since Lauren is a two way player they asked her to play defense.

Lauren was still in grade 5 so we didn't meet with any of the schools that night, but I was pleasantly surprised a few weeks later to get an email from a prep school  :

Dear Kader family,

Hello! Let me begin by introducing myself. My name is _______, and I am the Admissions and Enrollment officer here at  ______ School. Our Director of Athletics and Varsity Hockey Coach, _________ had the pleasure of seeing Lauren play hockey when he was at the Prep School Showcase 2014 in Montreal a couple weekends ago. He feels that Lauren would make a strong contribution to the _______ School hockey program next year (2015/2016 academic school year), and has kindly asked that I contact you to see if you would like to consider _________ School as an option for high school this upcoming September.

They were quite surprised to hear that she was a PeeWee player and we would talk again when she progressed into grade 8.
